Supporting Greek islands mature and realize sustainable development projects.

The Aegean Energy & Environment Agency is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 with the aim to provide technical assistance to islands and local authorities for maturing sustainable development projects and engaging in innovative investment schemes. The Agency’s strategic target is to increase the islands’ capacity on renewable energy, energy efficiency, wastes & water management, rational use of local resources, preservation of cultural heritage and landscape. Furthermore, AEGEA is acting as the technical and political advisor of islands in their participation in European projects and networks (Pact of Islands, Smart Islands Initiative etc.) AEGEA holds the Vice-Presidency for Smart & Sustainable Islands in FEDARENE.

European Projects

AEGEA participates as a partner and/or associate partner in European projects in the areas of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) and energy efficiency.

National Projects

In addition to the European ones, AEGEA secures resources by participating in national funding projects.

Studies

AEGEA provides technical and scientific support for the maturation and implementation of innovative projects.
